NORTON, Ohio -- A Norton High School math teacher and tennis and basketball coach was accused Wednesday in Medina County Common Pleas Court of throwing pot parties for students at his home.
Terry Sense, 37, of Wadsworth Township Ohio, was charged with 28 counts of corrupting another with drugs.
The charges followed a four-month investigation by Norton police and the Ohio Medina County Sheriff's Office. Norton Police Chief Thad Hete said Sense lived alone. Investigators said the incidents occurred between June and December, but declined to say how many times it happened.
Police said all students were juveniles at the time of the incidents. Some are still at the school and others have graduated.
Ohio School officials put Sense on paid administrative leave on Oct. 5 when the allegations surfaced. He has taught at the school since 1996.
He was held in Medina County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
